From July 8th to 12th, kids aged 7 to 12, who are affected by addiction, can explore their artistic talents while learning important coping skills.
What to Expect
At the Mindful Kids Art Camp, your child will engage in a variety of activities designed to nurture both their creativity and emotional well-being. Our skilled facilitators will guide them through a range of art projects and mindfulness practices, helping them develop positive emotional, social, and behavioral skills. Participants will learn to identify their emotions, use healthy distractions to redirect negative thoughts and create artistic coping tools to deal with daily challenges.
In addition to indoor creative activities, kids will participate in outdoor social skill-building exercises and games, promoting teamwork and communication. A special excursion to the Canada Science and Technology Museum is planned for July 10th, adding an exciting and educational experience to the week. Throughout the camp, nutritious lunches and snacks will be provided to keep the campers energized and focused.
