Designed to promote personal well-being in a safe environment.

There is no requirement to see a counsellor before taking a workshop. However, a counsellor may recommend a series of workshops based on an assessment of your individual personal situation.

Fee for Workshops
Serenity Renewal for Families’ fee for a workshop is $140. Receipts will be issued for extended health care or private insurance.

No one is excluded from services for financial reasons. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, Serenity Renewal for Families will continue to offer a sliding fee scale, a minimum payment request of $10 and 100% subsidies.

Healthy Boundaries: Letting Go of Fear, Anxiety, Resentment and the Despair of Addictions and Codependency

Why is an understanding of boundaries so important for addictions and codependency? How are healthy and unhealthy boundaries formed? How are feelings and boundaries connected in recovery? How do we let go of our destructive feeling patterns and the destructive behaviours they drive? Why does the recovery and healing pathway seem harder for some people, easier for others? 

Acceptance: A Choice for Self-Care in Addictions and Codependency

Why are the experiences of our family of origin so important? Is denial something more complex than just telling lies? What is bottom? Is storytelling an essential part of healing and recovery? Why is acceptance important when seeking choices for better self-care? What are the specific changes that need to be made in regard to control, perfectionism, people pleasing, denial and avoidance?

Do your emotions hold you hostage? Learn how to take back control by discovering the you beneath it all. Let go of shame and come home to your true self. Discover your emotional needs and learn how to compassionately love yourself beyond conditions. Move forward cultivating the life you want to live, not fearing that which you want to avoid. Family of Origin
