Helping Build Happier Healthier Lives

The Addicted Individual

Guilt, fear, remorse, shame and resentment are the dominant feelings of active alcoholics and addicts. Frequent and unexplainable mood swings can disrupt relationships. Feelings of worthlessness or thoughts of suicide can dominate thoughts. Those suffering from addictions may experience loss of memory or “blackouts” and have trouble sleeping. They may wake up to withdrawal tremors or shakes. They may stop caring about themselves, demonstrate poor personal hygiene, and not eat well or regularly.

The emphasis of the services is to help individuals rediscover themselves, to understand their behaviour and emotions, and to experience serenity through the daily living of the Twelve Steps. We assist individuals as they prepare for healthier and more productive personal, family and work lives.
